Training Academy
The SAVS Training Academy
All 14 Academy modules — the same training our officers complete before post — are public. The lessons cover how SAVS runs the company and how SAVS does security: patrol procedure, report writing, verbal skills, property playbooks, and post expectations. Watch the training before you apply and arrive at your interview already knowing the job.
Continuing Education
A New Lesson Every Day
Training doesn't stop at hire. SAVS officers get a new Continuing Education lesson on a daily cadence — a new subject, or one of the untaught things every officer has to know. Each lesson is watched and quizzed inside the Training Academy, and the result is saved to the officer's own CE record.
Reading a Property in the First Ten Minutes
The untaught stuff · ~8 min. The five-pass read — Perimeter, Access, Light, Life, Paper — that turns a property you have never seen into one you understand.
Continuing Education is SAVS company training, documented on each officer's training record.

Do I train before I'm hired?
Yes. The pre-hire track is an orientation that unlocks immediately when you submit your application — you start learning how SAVS runs and how SAVS does security right away, and your orientation results become a hiring input at your interview.
What license do I need?
SAVS is a Texas DPS-regulated company (Texas DPS License #B31225001). Officers work Level II (unarmed) and Level III (armed) posts according to their Texas DPS registration, and every officer is background-checked and registered to Texas Department of Public Safety standards.
Do I need experience to apply?
Experience is valued, but it is not the whole picture. Every applicant goes through the SAVS Training Academy orientation, and your training results are part of how we evaluate fit for a post. Apply with the experience and availability you have, and let the training speak for you.
Do I keep training access after I'm hired?
Yes. Hired officers keep full Training Academy access on the Officer Track, so the lessons, procedures, and property playbooks stay available to you on post.
What is Continuing Education?
After the Academy, training keeps going: a new Continuing Education lesson on a daily cadence — a new subject, or one of the untaught things every officer has to know. You watch the lesson and pass its quiz inside the Academy, and it is saved to your own CE record: the continuing-education file that follows you into the field. It is SAVS company training documented on your training record.
